— The membership

What exactly do I get?
Full versions of every Maker Foundry app — TumblerForge, PatchForge, ToneSmith (including its Photoshop plugin), VectorForge Pro, MappSmith, and the Maker Foundry Settings library — under one membership with one bill. Separately they run $49/mo; the pass is $24/mo.
How does the free trial work?
The monthly and annual plans start with a 7-day free trial of everything at once. You enter a card at checkout but aren't charged until the trial ends, and cancelling before then costs nothing. One trial per customer — and using the FoundryPass trial counts as using each app's individual trial too. The Master Key is not part of this: it's a one-time purchase, charged in full at checkout, not a trial.
What is the price lock?
The price you sign up at is your price for as long as you stay a member. As more apps join the bundle the price for new members may rise — yours doesn’t. If you cancel and come back later, you join at the price at that time.
What makes the Master Key different?
One payment of $419 charged today, no trial and no renewals, ever — and it explicitly includes every app Maker Foundry ships in the future, not just the current six. Buying the available lifetimes separately runs $497 today — and VectorForge and MappSmith have NO standalone lifetime at all: the Master Key is the only way to own them forever.
Do I get one login for everything?
Each app keeps its own sign-in for now, but your pass is keyed to your email — sign in to any app with the email you bought with (Google sign-in makes this one click) and it unlocks on sight. The member dashboard shows the live unlock state of every app.
Is the Settings library really included free?
The Maker Foundry Settings library is free for everyone, forever — it’s part of the bundle so members get one account that opens everything.

— What's new in the apps

PatchForge just added spot channels and texture builds — are they included?
Yes. Everything in every app is included in the pass and in the Master Key, new features included — there are no add-ons and nothing is sold separately once you are a member. PatchForge can now build separated CMYK TIFFs with named white and varnish spot plates, and the three-file colour/build/cut set for raised texture printing on a Mimaki. Both live in the Export menu in the Patch Builder and under Quick export in the Gang Sheet Builder.
What else is new in PatchForge?
PDF and Adobe Illustrator artwork now import directly, keeping real vector paths where the file has them rather than tracing, with an artboard picker for multi-page files. WEBP uploads are supported. The gang sheet panel is resizable and quick exports can be named before they download. Full detail is in the PatchForge FAQ topics below.
Do new features cost extra?
Never. The pass is one bill for the full versions of every app, and your price stays at what you signed up for as long as you stay a member. Master Key holders get every app Maker Foundry ships in the future, not just the ones that existed at purchase.

— Existing subscriptions & lifetimes

I already subscribe to one of the apps. What happens?
We handle it automatically. When your pass activates, any individual app subscription you have is closed and the unused time is refunded pro-rata — you never pay twice for the same tool. The receipt appears on your member card.
I already own a lifetime license for one of the apps. What happens?
You keep it — a lifetime purchase is yours forever and is never cancelled or refunded by the pass. Your FoundryPass simply unlocks the other apps around it. And if you go for the Master Key, what you already paid for that lifetime comes straight off the price, automatically at checkout.
How much credit do I get toward the Master Key?
Exactly what you actually paid for your app lifetime — not the list price. We read your real payment, so if you bought at a founder rate, with a discount code, or with unused subscription time credited in, your number reflects that. Example: you paid $169 for a PatchForge lifetime, so your Master Key is $419 − $169. Sign in and the Master Key card shows your price before you commit. It never goes below $1, and it is a discount rather than a refund — nothing gets clawed back. One timing rule: the credit runs for 12 months from your lifetime purchase date, so upgrade inside that window to get the full amount.
Does the lifetime credit expire?
Yes — it applies for 12 months from the date you bought that lifetime. Inside the window you get every cent you paid; after it, that purchase no longer funds a credit (you still keep the lifetime itself, forever). Sign in and the Master Key card shows your exact expiry date, and if you own lifetimes from different months each one carries its own.
Why is my Master Key price different from someone else’s?
Because we credit what each person genuinely paid rather than a sticker price. Someone who paid full rate for their lifetime gets more credited than someone who caught a launch discount, so two people can see different Master Key prices — each is their own money coming back to them.
Do my past monthly payments count toward the Master Key too?
No — those paid for the months you were already using the app, so they are not credited again. There is one exception that is already built in: when you upgraded from a subscription to a lifetime, the unused part of that billing period was taken off your lifetime price at the time. That means it is already inside the lifetime figure we credit, so you are never short-changed and it is never counted twice.
I bought my lifetime with a different email than my FoundryPass account. Will the credit still apply?
It matches on your email address, so use the same one if you can. If your lifetime is under a different address, email foundrypass@makerfoundryco.com before you buy and we will apply the credit by hand — do not buy at full price and ask afterwards, it is much easier to sort out first.

— Billing & cancellation

What happens if my payment fails?
Access pauses immediately across all apps — nothing is deleted. Update your card from the recovery page and every app unlocks again automatically.
How do I cancel?
Open your account page (the menu top right, or Billing in that same menu), scroll to "billing & receipts" and press "Cancel plan". That takes you straight to Stripe's cancel screen — confirm there and you are done. No email, no waiting on us. If you change your mind the same section offers "Resume plan" right up until the period ends.
What if I cancel?
You keep access through the period you paid for, then the apps lock. Your designs and data stay put in each app. If you come back later, you rejoin at the price at that time.
Is the Master Key refundable?
No. The Master Key is a one-time purchase, not a trial and not a subscription — it's charged in full at checkout, it never renews, and it's final and non-refundable. That's exactly why the free trial exists: take the 7-day trial on monthly first, use every app in the pass at no cost, and claim the Master Key during or after it at the same price. If a technical fault we can't fix stops you using what you paid for, email foundrypass@makerfoundryco.com and we'll make it right.
